Attached is an English translation of a short booklet entitled, al-Asbab al-Mu’inah ‘ala ‘l-Hifz, translated as “Causes that Aid in the Memorisation of the Noble Qur’aan” by Farhia Yahya. We were forwarded the book by a dear friend, a graduate of a masters program in Education from Harvard University, a devoted student of the Qur’an, and an experienced instructor of a hifz program in Elgin, IL.

The translator of the book writes the following in the Translator’s Introduction:

“It was a realisation of this need for us to return to Qur’aan that led me to translate this small book. As a young student in Cairo memorising Qur’an, this was the first book I purchased on the topic of hifdh al-Qur’an primarily to help and assist me with my studies but the benefit I found therein was so abundant that I felt it was my duty to make it available to the Englishspeaking audience that perhaps they may also find what I found and lead them to the great journey of memorising and studying the Qur’aan deeply.”
