Assalamu ‘alaykum,
I have been looking for a solid edition of Imam Tahawi’s Sharh Ma’ani al-Athar for some time now. The only editions I have seen are the Indian editions, which are not based upon much comparitive manuscript study, and the Darul Kitab version of the book with the foreword of Shaykh Yusuf Mar’ashli and the tahqiq of Muhammad Zahdi al-Najjar and Muhammad Sayyid Jad al-Haqq. This edition has many mistakes as far as I have seen and is not printed very clearly, and so many dots are missing where they are necessary. Furthermore, there is no takhrij of the hadiths at all and it is missing the beneficial ta’liqs of the Indian editions.
If anyone is aware of any work that has been done on the book, at least something on par with Shaykh Shu’ayb Arna’ut’s work on the Sharh Mushkil al-Athar, please let me know.

the copy of ilmiyyah got takhreej of shaykh ibrahim shamsuddeen. in the introduction he does not mention anything of comparing it with any manuscrpt neither any other printed copy.
