Al-Qawanin al-Fiqhiyyah fi Talkhis Madhhab al-Malikiyyah by Ibn Juzayy al-Kalbi

Abu ‘Abdullah Muhammad ibn Muhammad ibn Ahmad Ibn Juzayy al-Kalbi (731 AH) was a renowned eight century scholar, historian, poet, and jurist. He was from Granada in Muslim Spain and is well-known for having dictated the travel journal (Rihlah) of Ibn Batutah.

He also compiled a number of legal works, such as the Qawanin al-Fiqhiyyah fi Talkhis Madhhab al-Malikiyyah which discusses, along with the Maliki ruling on issues, the rulings of four other legal approaches, namely the Hanafi, Shafi`i, Hanbali, and the Zahiri approaches.
