Assalamualaikum
Any chance of getting any of Mufti Mahdi Hasans works. i heard he has a sharh of kitabul aathar and also some other great works in arabic. a great scholar from the indian subcontinent! He has a book called qalaidul azhaar, can somebody please confirm with me what book this is a sharh for.
We are currently studying the kitabul aathar under Mufti Muhammad Ibn Adam Alkawthari here in Leicester at Jameah Uloomul Quran. I heard they are also thinking of starting it at Darul Uloom Bury under Mufti Shabbir (may Allah preserve him). can somebody give me all the info they have on this book by Imam Abu Hanifah including commentries and notes.

Qala’id al-Azhar is a commentary of Mufti Mahdi Hasan al-Shahjahanpuri’s on the Kitab al-Athar. We had a copy of it in our library in Pakistan.
Kitab al-Athar had four transmissions (riwayat), one through Imam Abu Yusuf, another through Imam Muhammad, and then one each from Imam Zufar and Imam Hasan ibn Ziyad. I am aware that Shaykh Abu ‘l-Wafa’ al-Afghani published the Abu Yusuf and Muhammad editions. I heard that the Hasan ibn Ziyad edition was available in manuscript form and was even published. A colleague recalls showing it to me, but I am pretty sure he was mistaken.
The book was translated in English and published by Turath Publishing with Shahjahanpuri’s introduction. There are several Urdu commentaries on the book as well.
