Qur’an Made Easy is more or less an attempt to translate Tafsir al-Jalalayn, which goes beyond the actual words of the Qur’an and provides filler words to help understand the intent of the Qur’anic text.

In that sense, Qur’an Made Easy serves a different function and holds its own merit.

The unique benefits of the book, however, do not surpass the need for a book that seeks to primarily focus on a lucid translation of the Qur’anic text, without the addition of explanatory wording. This is where The Gracious Qur’an shines.
